Lessons at Overdale are mostly private and taught by Karin Major who is a BHSAI and an accredited Ride With Your Mind Coach, or one of her assistants working along the same lines.
The focus of attention is on the rider, as an individual. Many pupils who have tried and failed to make progress elsewhere are amazed by the results in such a short space of time at Overdale.
Lessons can be on your own horse, or one of our school horses or ponies.

We encourage our riders (whatever their age) to also learn about the care of their horses, leading, grooming, tacking up, un-tacking and more as desired.
Riders who have lessons at Overdale represent the full spectrum of ages and abilities.
- Age: 4 upwards, including those wishing to start or return to riding in their later years
- Ability: Total beginners, through to International competitors of all disciplines
- Riders with confidence concerns can be assured of our care, developing their skills at a pace to suit
